Having gone through phases of expansion through the years, Lone Pine today is a 3 storey building, boasting 50 exclusive guestrooms. Almost all rooms face the sea and open out to a terrace, balcony or private courtyard, bringing the refreshing sea breeze into every room.

The colourful history of the Lone Pine dates back to 1948 when a solitary bungalow owned by the McKearn family was bought over by a group of Chinese with the intention of operating a family-run hotel on Batu Ferringhi. On the land where the bungalow stood, was then a lone Casuarina tree, which was mistakenly thought to be a pine tree, hence the hotel's name 'Lone Pine'.

Dining at Lone Pine is traditional, yet features a contemporary twist boasting a tantalising blend of local and international fare, with a distinctive emphasis on Hainanese cuisine.

The Lone Pine is a boutique hotel which offers peace and serenity in the privacy of the hotel’s beach front or for the more adventurous, a variety of sea sports is just a step away. Take a parasail around the bay to see the beach from a very different perspective, or jet ski to the next cove and take a dip.
